In Recognition and Appreciation

Pickleball Canada would like to both recognize and honour Marcel Lemieux for his outstanding and significant contribution to the sport of pickleball.

Marcel started playing pickleball in British Columbia, where one of his daughters had moved.  While in B.C.  he helped organize several pickleball programs in both Vancouver and White Rock.  Additionally, he was instrumental in organizing the eastern areas of Ontario, with his primary focus always being with his home province of Quebec.
Marcel organized and helped host countless tournaments.  When learning of a group of French-speaking players going to Florida to vacation, he was instrumental in hosting the first Francophone pickleball tournament in the USA.

Marcel is extremely proud of the achievements of the Fédération québécoise de pickleball in its pursuit and success in being recognized as a Provincial Sport Organization - he calls this his shining star!
Marcel has given selflessly of his time and talent.  His endeavours to keep things up-and-running at the club, regional and provincial levels have been far-reaching and have made a huge impact.

We are forever grateful to Marcel; a true leader, champion and ambassador with a fierce love for the game - we appreciate all you have given to our organization in the name of pickleball…. as a Sport for All, for Life.
