 Re: 'Find gems of all varieties within Nanaimo' (Daily News, Aug. 1)
 Your excellent article unfortunately omitted the fastest growing sport in North America: pickle ball.
 We have a number of players in the area, however we are trying to grow the sport to stay abreast with the rest of the country.

 We are sure their are a number of snowbird players as well as others that would play if they were aware that this sport is available here in Nanaimo at Oliver Woods Recreation Centre.
 
We play Thursdays at noon and Saturdays at 6 p.m. We would love to see more players as well as beginners.
 
We are an enthusiastic group that will teach newcomers, it is a easy game to learn and play with much laughter and enjoyment.
 
 
The recreation centre supplies all equipment. Come and join us.
