Meet Your Friendly Competition for Actifest/Picklefest 2010
The count down is on to the first ever Pickleball Event in the Ontario Senior Games, Actifest 2010. The numbers are in and there will be 66 players competiting for gold, silver and bronze, August 11 and 12, 2010 at Oshawa University Institute of Technology. The number is amazing considering this is a first ever all Ontario event and the entry fee is $150.
Day 1 will consist of round robin play, best two our of 3 to 11 points win by 2. Winners receive two points and losers 0. At the end of Day 1, the seeding will be determined and all teams move on to the medal round Day 2. All players are guaranteed two days of play with lots of games.
We are really excited that the Minister of Health Promotion for the province of Ontario, the Honourable Elizabeth Best has asked to present the awards for Pickleball. What a photo opt this will be.
