Pickleball takes off in Calgary

It was standing room only this morning at the Oakridge Pickleball Club thanks, in part, to a story published last week in the Neighbors section of the Calgary Herald.
 
The Oakridge Pickleball Club, Calgary’s first official pickleball club, meets indoors all winter long at the Cedarbrae Community Centre at 11024 Oakfield Drive SW. During the summer months, it moves outdoors to the Oakridge Community Centre at 9504 Oakfield Dr SW.
 
Today’s attendance level was a record for Calgary’s newest racquet sports club. It was the first time since the club started in October (2009) that all three courts were in constant use for the entire session.
