Serve Rules for Doubles Pickleball

Who Serves First?
 
Unlike tennis and squash, in which a spin of the racquet is the deciding factor, pickleball doesn’t seem to have one universally accepted method for determining who serves first.
 
At some clubs, players will just pick somebody at random and say “you serve”. At other clubs, teams will rally for serve. If, however, one of the players has a discernible stamp on the butt of their paddle, a simple spin of the paddle is probably the best way to get started.
